Research Interests

Main research interests are centered in survey methodology (particularly small area estimation), the measurement and explanation of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty and structural equation modeling. In the framework of structural equation modeling it is particularly interested in Partial Least Squares (PLS) estimation and its benchmark with covariance based methods. Pedro Simões Coelho coordinates the Portuguese Customer Satisfaction Index (ECSI-Portugal) and the Brazilian Customer Satisfaction index (BCSI) that has been originating a stream of research both about customer behavior and structural equation modeling. More recently, his research interests have also moved towards the assessment about the business impact and value of information systems and in particular of business intelligence systems.
