The FORGe Hackathon brings together Portugal’s most promising students in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering for a 24-hour innovation challenge.

Organized by NOVAe, the student entrepreneurship club at NOVA IMS, this event offers participants the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges, connect with mentors, and showcase their skills to leading tech companies.

Taking place in Lisbon on November 7 and 8, and integrated into the Portugal Tech Week, the hackathon will feature workshops, mentorship sessions, and a panel discussion on “The Future of Artificial Intelligence in Portugal”, with experts from DareData and Sword Health. Among the guest speakers is Ivo Bernardo, President of NOVA IMS Alumni and Co-founder of DareData.

The hackathon is open to students from across Portugal studying AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Software Engineering.

Participants will form teams of 3 to 5 members, and the top 5 teams will pitch their final solutions to a panel of industry experts.
