Miguel de Castro Neto | Assistant Professor and Associate Dean at NOVA IMS
Miguel de Castro Neto is Assistant Professor and Associate Dean at NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS) where he leads AD NOVA IMS, the Association for the Development of NOVA IMS, coordinates NOVA Cidade - Urban Analytics Lab, and directs the Post-Graduation program in Smart Cities.
He was Secretary of State of Spatial Planning and Nature Conservation in the XIX and XX Portuguese Government.

Founder and Vice-President of the Data Science Portuguese Association he is presently President of the Portuguese Engineers Professional Association Agronomy College, coordinator of the Group Cities and Spatial Planning in the think tank Sustainable Growth Platform and President of the Festival Terras Sem Sombra Curators Board. He is founding-partner of the company Agriciência, Consultores de Engenharia, Lda.
He develops his research and teaching in the field of Business Intelligence and Smart Cities.
From his scientific work have resulted, amongst others, articles published in scientific journals such as Computers in Industry, International Journal of Accounting Information, Journal of Global Information Management, International Journal of Electronic Commerce Studies, Industrial Management & Data Systems.
In the context of its teaching activity he was inviteed professor at Universidade Polítecnica de Madrid (Espanha), Tomsk University (Rússia) and Universidade de Cabo Verde, among others.
