Prof. Dr. Isabel Rocha - is Pro-rector for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at NOVA University. She was a visiting scholar at the MIT, USA (2007), as part of the MIT-Portugal Program and was, for 10 years, in charge of a Portuguese educational program in innovation – the i-teams program. She was the President of P-Bio, the Portuguese Bioindustries Association and she is also one of the founders and scientific coordinator of two companies that won several national prizes in entrepreneurship and are involved in major industrial biotechnology projects worldwide. Isabel does her research at ITQB-NOVA and Minho University in Biotechnology covering the topics of Metabolic Engineering and Systems Biology.
Prof. Dr. José Silva Lopes - is a Scientific Officer at the R&D unit REQUIMTE-LAQV since 2016, he's the main responsible for tasks related with scientometrics, impact measurement of the unit's science output and of the unit's strategy implementation in the areas technology, education and innovation. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering, a MSc in Educational Physics and also a BSc. in Industrial Engineering. More recently, he has worked as the education and science manager of the Bio-Engineering Systems Focus Area within the international partnership MIT Portugal Program for 9 years. In parallel, he has worked in the university's TTO supporting knowledge and technology transfer, in developing novel technologies for private companies, and also performing research in Higher Education coupled with teaching in the areas of Technology Transfer and Bioprocess Engineering.
Prof. Marina Ventura - She is the coordinator of “Linkyou – cooperation between Latin America and Europe to employability". She is a Doctor of Philosophy Student in communication and media studies currently working on her thesis on “Communicate to attract and retain young talent”. She has 20 years of professional experience, in which she launched three new career services and alumni in terms of strategies, objectives and activities in two different Universities.
Dr. Milva Carbonaro- GISIG Director, giCASES primary coordinator contact. Graduated in Humanities and Master Degree in Open Distance Learning. Senior expert in EU funded projects management, she has more than 25 years’ experience in the promotion of transnational university-industry cooperation projects, in particular pilot training and mobility projects. Currently managing the EO4GEO ERASMUS+ Sector Skills Alliance funded in 2017 as one of the Blueprint projects to implement the “Blueprint for sectoral cooperation on skills” in the space/geospatial sector. She also supports quality assurance processes for VET activities and their compliance with relevant European frameworks
Prof. Dr. Nuno Escudeiro - His main interests in Education are linked to the employability of undergraduates and the smooth transition between the worlds of Education and Work. He is Vice-President of the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators and a member of the advisory boards of INNOTECS – International Network of Technical Schools and EO4GEO. Nuno is the coordinator of the Praxis Network – European Centre for Project/Internship Excellence and currently running a few projects linked to blended education and promotion of soft skills. He has a PhD on Informatics from the University of Porto and is Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Before engaging in his Academic career Nuno worked during 12 years at the software industry.
Dr. Ursula Caser - Took the European Master in Mediation at the Institut Universitaire Kurt Bösch, having previously graduated in Physical Geography from the University of Munich. Worked as a consultant for the Department of Science and Environmental Engineering, FCT NOVA. The main areas of work focus on consensus building and conflict management in complex planning and decision-making processes, facilitation and moderation of meetings and conferences, public participation processes, education and training.
