Applications to the Special Contest for Over 23 Years Old Access/Entry – Academic Year 2025/2026

Only applicants who meet the following criteria may register for the examinations:

• Must be at least 23 years old by December 31^st of the year prior to the examination.
• Must not hold the necessary qualifications for direct access to the intended degree program. These qualifications include:
• A secondary education diploma or an equivalent qualification;
• Passing grades in the national exams contest required for the intended degree.
• Must not be considered international students under the applicable legal framework.

Application Period: Between May 26^thand June 9^th, 2025

Applications must be submitted online via the Applications Portal:https://applyhere.novaims.unl.pt/

€70 (Payment instructions will be provided after document validation. Applications will be excluded if submitted documentation does not comply with the official call).

• Curriculum Vitae – Weighted at 20% of final assessment;
• Motivation Letter – Weighted at 10%;
• Academic Qualification Certificate;
• Declaration on Honor affirming that the applicant does not hold a qualification granting access to higher education.

Written Exam – Mathematics A (minimum passing grade: 9.5/20):

• Date: June 16^th, 2025, at 10:00
• Weight in final assessment: 50%

Interviews with the Program's Directors:

• Dates: June 23^rd to 30^th, 2025
• Weight in final assessment: 20%

Final Decision and Publication of Results: July 1^st, 2025.

Appeals:

Applicants may submit a written, substantiated appeal to the NOVA IMS Academic Services within five working days from July 1^st, 2025. The Scientific Council will rule on appeals within ten working days of receipt, after hearing the relevant Program Director. No further appeal is possible after the Scientific Council’s decision.

Enrollment and Registration:

August 25^th to September 5^th, 2025
