As part of the DIGITAL4Business initiative, the Joint Professional Program in Advanced Digital Technologies for Business aligns with the mission of fostering innovation and leadership in digital transformation across European industries. In a landscape where artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping business models, operational strategies, and decision-making processes, organizations rely on leaders who can translate cutting-edge technology into practical business applications.

Developed in collaboration with leading academic institutions — National College of Ireland (NCI), Università di Bologna (UNIBO), and Linköping University (LIU) — this program provides a strategic approach, enabling participants to explore core AI competencies, such as machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI governance, while engaging with real-world applications through case studies and project-based learning.

Goals

The course aims to train specialists capable of:

  • Critically appraisal, selection, and employment of existing and emerging technologies to address complex business problems and support innovation and digital transformation in business;

  • Assessing and evaluating sustainability, governance, and ethical risks and impacts associated with digital transformation;

  • Synthesizing and communicating opportunities, risks, and critical challenges of digital transformation practices to underpin strategic decisions to key stakeholders;

  • Understanding fundamental concepts and demonstrating techniques of advanced digital skills from a business perspective;

  • Developing transversal skills and practices, evaluating their application in various contexts, and exploring techniques to foster creativity at individual, team, and organizational levels.

Study plan

The study programme comprises 60 ECTS, 20 of which are compulsory courses: Digital Transformation and Digital Transformation Practicum. The remaining 40 ECTS correspond to optional curricular units, chosen by each student from among these curricular units:

Formats

The Joint Professional Master's Degree in Advanced Digital Technologies for Business can be completed in three formats:

  • Full Time: 2 semesters (1 year) - Start each semester;
  • Part Time (Accelerated): 3 semesters (1.5 years) - Start each semester;
  • Part Time: 4 semesters (2 years) - Starts annually only.

Each option allows you to adapt the pace of study to your availability.
