Being a mentor
I remember when I was finishing my bachelor’s, I had no clue what the job market was like, where to look, who to ask, and most importantly, I had no idea what I wanted to work on. It’s supposed to be the start of something new and exciting, but all I had were doubts. I believe that if the mentoring program had existed at the time, I would have been able to talk to someone who felt the same way and who could offer not only guidance but also some reassurance about what the process would look like, and that it’s okay not to know what you want at that stage. That is why I joined the program for the past two editions. As a mentor, I can offer some guidance and share my experience, while also increasing my network and staying in touch with the expectations of new generations.
