The Blockchain Confluence is a unique forum that connects industry and academia, bringing together renowned experts to explore the future of blockchain. The event will focus on innovation, regulation, and collaboration to promote the sustainable and responsible development of blockchain technologies.
Taking place on November 17 and 18 at the Rectorate of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, this is the 1st IEEE International Conference on Distributed Ledger Technology (ICDLT), organized by the NOVA SBE Data, Operations & Technology Knowledge Center and the Nova Blockchain Lab from NOVA IMS, as part of the BLOCKCHAIN.PT Agenda, co-funded by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the European Union through NextGenerationEU, which aims to position Portugal as a key hub for blockchain innovation and research.
Over the course of two days, participants will have the opportunity to attend keynote sessions featuring world-renowned speakers such as Illia Polosukhin, co-author of “Attention Is All You Need” and co-founder of NEAR Protocol, and Roman Beck, Professor at Bentley University and Founding Director of the European Decentralization Institute.
The program also includes industry debates, a hands-on workshop, and the presentation of national projects, creating a dynamic environment for knowledge sharing and collaboration between academia and industry.
The opening remarks will be delivered by Professor Miguel de Castro Neto, Dean of NOVA IMS.
