About the Event
On 16 October, from 10:00 to 13:00, NOVA IMS will host the public event “Digital Twins for Urban Futures: Insights and Applications”, held during the NexTCity Consortium Meeting.
Urban Digital Twins are digital representations of cities and their systems that integrate historical and real-time data, enabling the monitoring of urban dynamics and the simulation of different measures and scenarios to support decision-making.
The session will present the NexTCity project, developed by NOVA IMS with KU Leuven (Belgium) and Universitat Jaume I (Spain), including a pilot Urban Digital Twin for Lisbon’s Low Emission Zone (Praça do Comércio and Baixa). It will also feature case studies from KU Leuven and Universitat Jaume I, plus contributions from the Lisbon General Drainage Plan and Esri on technological developments and practical applications in urban management.
