Artificial Intelligence - Implications for Business Strategy

The Information Technology industry is at a pivotal moment. Never before have we seen a technology create such an impact, gain broad executive support, achieve tangible commercial results, and be rapidly adopted by users. In just a few months, Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has captured the attention, imagination, and concern of most technology and business leaders worldwide.

AI's rapid adoption is transforming it from an "embryonic" software element into a fundamental technology central to organizational operations. We believe that AI adoption will yield gains similar to, if not greater than, those observed in digital pioneers—four times revenue growth and five times profitability—at an accelerated pace. To stay competitive, all CEOs must develop an AI strategy addressing issues like usage policy, ownership, data inclusion, costs, security, and value creation.

In this context, this program aims to provide leaders of Portuguese organizations with guidance on the key considerations for developing a business strategy to maximize value through the integration of Artificial Intelligence into business operations.
