Until the end of May, NOVA IMS promotes a series of Information Systems Seminars, with the participation of some of the most important IT companies to introduce their culture and technology. All sessions take place at 3:30 p.m. at the INE Auditorium of NOVA IMS. The purpose of these seminars is to provide students a real contact with relevant IT companies, with their technologies and market strategies.
These sessions are part of a seminar course unit but are open to the students of all cycles and to the public in general, and the registration is not mandatory.

Susana Rebelo started working for Siemens in 2019 as a Business Intelligence and Analytics trainee while developing her Master’s thesis. She currently takes part in several data projects focusing mainly on data visualization topics, but also data engineering and machine learning.
Susana graduated in Management at ISCTE-IUL and afterwards pursued her Master’s degree in Information Management, with a specialization in Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence. at NOVA IMS, where she learned the most relevant methods and tools in the market. She also has developed a strong interest in data mining with the goal of treating data and finding relevant patterns to meet business needs.
Francisco Rosas Almeida is a Senior Data Scientist at the Siemens Analytics Lab with 7+ years of industry experience, and occasional collaborations with the Nova IMS community. He will be providing a point-of-view on work as a Data Scientist in this event.
