Severe Asthma is a type of asthma that is difficult to control. Persistent symptoms affect patients' productivity and quality of life, who are often unable to lead a normal life. Currently, there is a gap in credible and available information about this condition, which complicates decision making and informed sharing between patients and physicians about Severe Asthma.

This is a challenge launched by Sanofi Genzyme and NOVA IMS, in partnership with the Portuguese Asthma Association (APA), the Portuguese Association of People with COPD and other Chronic Respiratory Diseases (RESPIRA), the Portuguese Lung Foundation (FPP), the APMGF Respiratory Diseases Study Group (GRESP), the Network of Experts in Severe Asthma (REAG), the Portuguese Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SPAIC) and the Portuguese Society of Pulmonology (SPP) with the ambition of changing the paradigm of Severe Asthma in Portugal.
