On September 8^th, the ceremony of inauguration of Prof. Dr. Miguel de Castro Neto as Dean of NOVA IMS for a period of 4 years took place.

With the motto "Data with Purpose", Miguel de Castro Neto establishes for the next four years, clear and inspiring purposes for the different areas of intervention of NOVA IMS, without ever losing the purpose of giving an effective and transversal contribution to the fulfillment of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Miguel de Castro Neto claims he wants "a school where planning and decision making processes employ insights based on information management, data science, and artificial intelligence to improve community well-being, optimize operations and the efficient use of resources, and ensure sustainability”.
