NOVA Cidade - Urban Analytics Lab of NOVA IMS, with the support of aicep Portugal Global and the Consulate of Portugal in Barcelona, took Portugal to the Smart Cities Expo World Congress in Barcelona!

For the first time, Portugal had its own space in the Smart Cities Expo World Congress, in Barcelona, which took place on November 15th, 16th and 17th.

The Smart Cities Expo World Congress in Barcelona is the main international event in Europe for the Smart Cities theme, bringing together experts, political decision-makers, mayors, companies and international organizations committed to create a better future for cities and citizens.

This year, more than 700 cities from five continents, 853 exhibitors and more than 400 speakers came together. The event registered a significant growth, hosting more than 20,000 participants from 134 countries, almost 50% more than the year of 2021.

Through this initiative, Portuguese municipalities and companies were able to share urban intelligence projects and solutions successfully implemented in Portugal!
