The NOVA IMS Center for Global Health promotes the generation and sharing of knowledge on Global Health policies, addressing growing health needs, climate change, and resource scarcity. It focuses on the use of digital technologies, data science, and information management, with a particular emphasis on infodemiology.
As an academic center with a strong social responsibility, it aims to equip decision-makers and key agents in the global health ecosystem with tools to transform scientific recommendations into public policies, legislation, and interventions that improve health outcomes.
The center also strengthens Portugal's integration into international networks, such as the WHO and European agencies, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Global Health and enhancing the country's capacity to address health risks.
