Biography

Paulo Vitor de Campos Souza holds a PhD in Technical Sciences with an emphasis on Computer Science (Johannes Kepler Universität Linz – Austria) and is an Assistant Professor at NOVA IMS. He teaches courses in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Fuzzy Systems. His research focuses on the development of interpretable artificial intelligence models, particularly fuzzy neural networks and evolving learning systems. He is the author of over 60 scientific publications in indexed international journals and conferences, with more than 670 citations and an h-index of 15 in the Web of Science. He has been involved in several applied research projects, particularly in digital health, public administration, and explainable data science.
