Carolina Vasconcelos, assistant professor at NOVA IMS, won, ex aequo, the REM Young Research Award. REM is a research consortium of ISEG - School of Economics and Management, dedicated to Economics and Mathematics.

Under the orientation of Professor Bruno Damásio, Carolina developed a new statistical methodology in Markov processes that will be useful for forecasting problems for researchers and policy-makers, giving an important methodological contribution.
