Detalhe da Notícia

On September 20th, NOVA IMS participated in the event "In vitro diagnostics: more access, better health", within the scope of the study promoted by NOVA Health & Analytics Lab "The value of access to in vitro diagnostics", with the partnership of INSA and the support of Roche.

The main conclusions of this study were presented by Guilherme Victorino, Associate Dean of NOVA IMS and Coordinator of NOVA Health & Analytics Lab and served as a motto for discussion of this issue with stakeholders in the health area.

This project is a follow-up to the study conducted in 2021 "Value in Health: Case Study of In Vitro Diagnostics", that aims to identify possible opportunities for innovation in health.

Through interviews with experts and design thinking sessions, case studies of IVDs in other European countries were identified and the perceptions of national and international experts on the topic were assessed, as well as possible paths for the future.

Among the proposals presented by the experts, the importance of creating a working group to speed up the reimbursement/financing process for a faster and better access to in vitro diagnosis for citizens was highlighted.
